Already Licensed in Virginia?

The resources below are intended for Nursing Home and Assisted Living Administrators who already hold a license in Virginia, preceptors, and prospective preceptors. 

Complete Your Required Continuing Education Credits

Nursing Home and Assisted Living Administrators are required to complete 20 continuing education credits every three years. Both LeadingAge Virginia and NAB have online and in-person offerings to help you complete this requirement. 

 

Need to Renew Your License?

Go to the Virginia Board of Long-Term Care Administrators website to complete your renewal process.

 

Become a Licensed Preceptor!

Develop the pipeline of incoming leaders for aging services! 

To become a preceptor, you need to:

  • Hold a current, unrestricted license and be employed full-time as an administrator in a training facility (according to 18 VAC 95-20-330 or 18 VAC 95-30-170) for a minimum of two out of the past three years for Nursing Home Administrators or two out of the past four years for Assisted Living Administrators.
  • Show evidence of complete the NAB online preceptor training course
  • Complete the application for Registration as a Preceptor
