Workforce
- Living wages and elimination of the benefits cliff for all who work in the field of aging services
- Accessible, affordable housing and transportation
- Solutions to recruit, train, and retain a qualified and dependable caregiver pipeline
Providers
- Enhanced reimbursement and integrated support for aging services to ensure access, quality, and sustainability
- Sufficient resources and infrastructure to strengthen all aging services providers, including Virginia’s Area Agencies on Aging and organizations serving the disability community
- Appropriate and accessible transportation for older adults in all care settings
- Balanced regulations that ensure quality care while fostering innovation and addressing older adults' needs
Consumers
- Equitable access to aging services
- Adequate funding for accessible, affordable, and high-quality housing, care, and services
- Robust, high-quality continuum of home- and community-based services
- Expanded food and nutrition assistance, including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
