How do I register for an educational program or conference?
Select "Event Calender" from the Education drop-down menu to see a list of upcoming event. Click on the link next to the event you want to register for and complete the online registration form. Be sure to complete all required fields.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are a LeadingAge Virginia member, you MUST log-in before registering in order to receive the discounted member rate. Please be sure to use your existing log-in information. If you're unsure of what your username and/or password is, click the Forgot My Password link to reset it. Please do not create a duplication member record when registering for an event. If you don't log-in first and/or you create an additional record for yourself without following the instructions in the following paragraph, the record you create will not be linked to your membership account. As a result, you will be charged the nonmember rate and the difference will not be refunded.
If you don't already have a username and password, click on “Become a Member” from the home page or from the About drop-down menu to create your LeadingAge Virginia account. If you are an employee of an existing LeadingAge Virginia member, please select either the "Staff of Existing Provider Member" or "Staff of Existing Business Member".
Can I register for more than one educational program at a time?
Yes, when you are logged on, choose the specific program you want to attend, complete the registration, save or submit. Then you can go back to the Calendar, choose another program and register.
How do I pay for educational programs/events?
Once you complete the registration form, the system will ask how you plan on paying. You will have the option of payment by credit or debit card (MC, VISA, AmEx, Discover), or by check. If you are paying by credit/debit card, complete all the information and once saved, you will be prompted to print the receipt. If paying by check, print the invoice and include a copy of it with your check, sent to the mailing address shown on the invoice. Please note that all event registrations must be paid in full no later than one week before the event start date.
Can I register more than one person at a time for a conference/webinar? And, can I pay for them all at once?
Yes, you may register for more than one person at a time, but each registration must be as complete as possible, especially the asterisked items. After registering the first person, the system will ask if you want to register another person, and you can then register the other person(s). Then complete the payment page as you did your own.
You can pay for all of the event registrations at one time.
Will the invoice list all the individuals that I registered?
Yes, your invoice/payment receipt will note each individual that was registered at the same time with the same payment method.
Will each person I register receive a confirmation of registration?
Yes, confirmation emails will be sent directly to each email address included during the registration process.
How do I cancel a registration?
You will need to contact LeadingAge Virginia at firstname.lastname@example.org to cancel your registration.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations received in writing by seven days before the start of the event will receive a credit, less a $75 to $150 administrative fee, toward a future LeadingAge Virginia event, excluding the Annual Conferences or Leadership Retreats. Cancellations received less than seven days before the event will be considered a no-show and no credit will be issued. Substitutions are encouraged. Any credits will expire one year after the date of the event.
Can I see which events I’m registered for, or events I have attended in the past through the LeadingAge Virginia website?
Yes, on your My Profile page, select “Event Registrations” and view those upcoming conferences for which you have registered, or view those conferences you have attended in the past.
