Participants will review real-world pitfalls and solutions that independent living, assisted living, life plan communities, and affordable housing provider encounter, with strategies for navigating them while minimizing legal exposure. You’ll walk away with practical steps to tighten documentation, communicate policy changes, avoid inconsistent decisions, and reduce liability across your organization. Whether you’re maintaining a credential or staying ahead of risk, this refresher delivers timely guidance, renewed clarity around high-risk situations, and actionable steps to stay compliant and confident in your role. This course fulfills the annual refresher requirement for Fair Housing Specialist certification. Exam There is an optional exam at the conclusion of this webinar. Attendees will receive a link to the exam within 24 hours after conclusion of the webinar. Attendees will have 7 calendar days to complete the exam and submit their answers for scoring. Exams will be scored within 72 business hours after submitting answers (holidays and weekends are excluded). A passing score of 70% is required to demonstrate mastery of the topics covered. If a student fails to pass the exam, or does not complete the exam prior to the expiration of the 7 day time period, they will receive a certificate of attendance only. There is no additional cost to take the exam to show mastery and get a Practitioners Certificate of Mastery Registrants who opt not to take the exam will be issued a Certificate of Attendance reflecting hours of instruction attended.
