The Civil Monetary Penalties (CMP) Reinvestment Fund is a federal fund collection of imposed penalties against certified nursing homes deemed non-compliant with regulations. As the name suggests, these funds are reinvested for projects that directly benefit nursing home residents, with the overall goal of improving the quality of life and care for individuals residing in nursing homes. The CMP program is administered federally by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and in Virginia, is managed by the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS). Additional information regarding DMAS administration of CMPRP can be found here. In 2018, LeadingAge Virginia received its first CMP award for the Advanced CNA program. Since then, LeadingAge Virginia has received and managed two additional CMP programs that collectively engaged more than100 nursing homes in Virginia, impacting thousands of nursing home residents statewide. |
