The most aggressive organizations tend to think regionally, considering any opportunities within several hours’ drive time of the original market. In a state of Virginia’s size, the task of identifying and prioritizing potential new locations to explore is a daunting task.

With the volatility in the financial markets, many senior living providers have been forced to reevaluate the viability of expansion or new developments projects. Further, organizations looking to acquire or divest assets have often faced challenges sourcing capital or finding buyers with the suitable financial backing to close. This session will cover recent financing and acquisition/divestiture trends for senior living providers. Attendees will learn about financing methods in the current, higher interest rate environment and how borrowers in Virginia and across the United States have been able to raise capital for new developments as well as acquisitions. Attendees will also learn how to assess acquisition and divestiture opportunities in the current market.
